From Monday 30 November until 11 December 2015, France will host and chair the 21st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the COP 21. This is an opportunity for Prosodie-Capgemini to join forces with the Group in key best practice actions.
The Group had already demonstrated its commitment through Paul Hermelin, Chairman and CEO of Capgemini, who signed the “business proposals for COP 21” Declaration last July.
Of these key actions, a “No travel week” was scheduled for the week commencing 30 November. During this week, employees of Capgemini entities are asked to cut back on their travel by using remote communication tools and opting for car sharing or the Autolib’ option.
Upstream, all employees have been invited to take part in the Game of Ecology. The aim of this game is to gather testimonies on ecological, everyday actions of individuals, in their homes and in their personal lives.
The best initiatives will be rewarded during the COP 21.
SnapCar is an alternative to the traditional taxi that can be used to reserve a vehicle and driver for all personal and business travel. The company favours hybrid or low CO2 vehicles in its fleets. In this way, the Group enables its employees to benefit from transport, while doing something for the environment!
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”
